Honor 9X – mid-August

Honor 9X

Honor 9X is scheduled to launch sometime in the middle of August in India and the date is not yet confirmed. The smartphone is going to be a great and premium mid-range launch by Honor, as it will be powered by Kirin 810 processor (better than Qualcomm Snapdragon 730) and will feature 6.59-inch Full HD+ display.

If you’re looking for a camera-centric phone with great performance, Honor 9X is the smartphone you should wait for. ROG Phone 2 – Mid August

Asus ROG Phone 2

ASUS is back with the second generation of its gaming smartphone. This smartphone is really exciting me to the flagship level. While it has been launched in China, it’s yet to make it official entrance to the Indian market.

I was expecting the smartphone to launch at double the price it has been launched in China at its equivalent Indian price of Rs. 35,000. This is going to be a killer if comes in India at a price equivalent to that in China. The earlier version of this phone came up at a starting price nearly 70,000 in India.

This phone is a real beast – believe me when I say that. It packs 6000mAh battery, Snapdragon 855+ processor, 6.59-inch Full HD+ AMOLED 120 Hz display and whatnot. You name it and Asus ROG Phone 2 has it.

Not just the performance, Asus ROG 2 phone features dual (48MP + 13MP)  rear-camera setup and 16MP front-facing camera. It is going to be launched in two storage variants – 128GB and 512GB with 8GB and 12GB of RAM, respectively.

Talking about the day-to-day usage, Asus ROG Phone 2 will easily last over a day even on heavy usage. Asus promises that you can play PUBG Mobile continuously for 10 hours.

The only thing that I’m eagerly waiting for is the price at which Asus ROG Phone 2 is launched in India. Even if the starting price is around 40,000, this phone is gonna kill the flagship level competition by OnePlus 7 Pro.

Nubia Red Magic 3S – August End.

Nubia Red Magic 3S

Nubia Red Magic 3 has already been launched in China and the company has revealed its upgrade, namely Nubia Red Magic 3S.

This new version of Red Magic 3 is soon going to launch in China and very much anticipated to be launched in India, in the month of August. The new version is said to be powered by Snapdragon 855+ processor while the rest of the configuration will remain the same as Red Magic 3.

If you need to take a look at the specifications again, Nubia Red Magic 3S will have a 6.65-inch Full HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate and a 5000mAh battery to keep it alive for over a day with good usage. This phone will be launched in three storage variants – 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB with 8 and 12GB of RAM.

Poco F2 – Not Expected

Poco F1

If you can remember, Xiaomi launched Poco F1 on 22 August 2018 in India, which turned out to be a breakthrough in the smartphone market and was a real flagship killer. Well, one year is about to complete and I somehow can guess Xiaomi has the new Poco smartphone in its arsenal.

While I know this is not going to happen, it’s still my gut that says there could be something planned by Xiaomi to launch around the same time this year too.

Since Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are already out in the market, the launch of Poco F2 is doubtful, not for the next 2 to 3 months.

Well, since the date is approaching, I thought of just giving you a reminder. Just Saying!

Realme U2

Realme U2

The next phone could be from Realme, as the company promised to launch a brand new phone every month in India, which excludes October, perhaps. The company plans on running multiple marketing stunts and advertisements during October – on the occasion of Diwali.

And, if there are chances that Realme will launch a smartphone in the month of August, then it’s Realme U2. No doubt, Realme U1 was a good phone and U2 is going to be its successor. Since U series of Realme smartphones are known for their camera quality, especially the selfie camera, this upcoming smartphone is expected to have 32MP selfie camera.

Realme U2 is also expected to be powered by Snapdragon 710 or 730 processor. However, there are no strong rumors that have it. Let’s hope and keep our fingers crossed, expecting Realme U2 to launch in August.

Xiaomi Mi A3 – after 15th August

Xiaomi Mi A3

Xiaomi Mi A3 is also in the line-up and is expected to launch soon in India. We can hope this phone to be available in the second half of August. Not sure the one that will come to India is the global variant of Mi A3 or the pro version that will be named Mi A3 in its India launch.

To dig a bit deeper, we know that the global variant of Mi A3 (runs on Snapdragon 660) is the CC9E in China and CC9 is the higher variant that runs on Snapdragon 710 processor that might be Mi A3 Pro for India. As of now, nothing is confirmed for the Indian market.

Others

We can also expect Nokia 6.2/ 7.2 to come to in August. On the other hand, Samsung is also expected to launch multiple mid-range smartphones in India in the month of August. These phones could belong to the M or A series of smartphones, which are already available in India.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M3 is also expected to launch soon – probably not in August but September. As of now, I don’t know whether that phone will have the name Zenfone associated with it.

There might be many more smartphone releases in august 2019 in India. Let’s see how many we get to see this August.
